Biscuits

Recipe (Makes 8-12 biscuits):
2 Cups Start Right Waffle Mix, 2 Tbsp Baking Powder, 1 Tbsp Sugar, 5 Tbsp Cold Butter, 1 Cup Milk

Directions: ⠀ ⠀
Preheat oven to 425. Add all dry ingredients into a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add milk, mix until dough comes together. Knead on a floured surface. Roll and cut to desired shape. Bake 10-15 minutes.

Donuts

 

Makes 12-15 donuts

Ingredients: 2 Tbsp White Vinegar, ⅜  Cup Milk, 2 Tbsp Shortening, ½ Cup Sugar, 1 Egg, ½ tsp Vanilla, 1 Cup Flour, 1 Cup Start Right Waffle Mix, ½ tsp Baking Soda, ¼ tsp Salt, Oil for frying

Directions:Stir vinegar into milk, let set for three minutes. Mix together shortening and sugar, until smooth Beat in egg and vanilla, mix until well blended. Stir in flour, mix, baking soda, and salt.  Alternating milk mixture. Roll out dough to desired thickness, let rest for 10 minutes Heat oil to 350, cut dough/ form donuts. Fry 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Drain, coat with sugar, icing, or filling

"Torpita" Bread

Ingredients: 2 Tbsp White Vinegar, ⅜ Cup Milk, 4 Tbsp Shortening, 1/4 Cup Sugar, 1 Egg, 2.5 Cups Flour, 1 Cup Start Right Waffle Mix, ½ tsp Baking Soda, 1/2 tsp Salt

Directions: Stir vinegar into milk, let set. Mix shortening and sugar, until smooth. Beat in egg and mix until well blended. Stir in flour, mix, baking soda, and salt. Knead on a floured surface. The dough should not be sticky, add more flour as needed. Roll out dough to ¼” inch thickness. Cut into desired shape, let rest for 5-10 minutes. In a medium pan, heat olive oil. Place dough in pan and cook 3-4 minutes on each side.

Cinnamon Rolls

Makes 8-12 Rolls

Ingredients: 1 ½ Cup Start Right Mix, 1 ¼ Cup Flour, 1 Egg, 1 Package of Yeast, ½ Cup Water, ¼ Cup Milk, 1 tsp Salt, ¼ Cup Butter Filling: ⅔ Cup Brown Sugar, ¼ Cup Butter, 1 Tbsp Cinnamon, ¾ Tbsp Vanilla  Glaze: 1 ½ Cup Powdered Sugar, 1 tsp Vanilla 2-3 tsp Milk

Directions: Combine flour, yeast, and salt. Heat sugar, butter, water, and milk.  Slowly add to flour mixture.  Add egg. Preheat oven to 200, knead dough 3-4 minutes, cover 5 minutes and let rest. Roll dough over floured surface, making a rectangle. Mix all the filling ingredients, then spread evenly over dough Roll into tight log, portion.  Place in a greased pan, place in oven after turning it off.  Let proof for 25-30 minutes. Bake at 375 for 15-18 minutes Mix all glaze ingredients, then top rolls and enjoy. 

Bagels

Ingredients: 1 ½ C Water (105-115 Degrees), 2 Packages Yeast, 1 ½ oz Sugar, 2 C Start Right Mix, 1.5 C Flour, 1 Egg White ⠀ ⠀
Directions: Mix yeast, sugar, and warm water.  Slowly stir in flour and mix into yeast mixture.  Knead for five minutes on a floured surface. Cover and let rise until double in size. Punch and divide into 12 balls. Form bagels and place in simmering water for 45s each side. Drain and place on greased baking sheets. Egg wash top of bagels, bake 35 minutes at 350, turning once. 

"Blondies"

Makes 9”x9” Pan⠀
Ingredients: 1 ½ Cup Brown Sugar, ½ Cup Melted Butter, 2 Eggs, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 Cup Start Right Mix, ½ Cup Flour, ½ tsp Baking Powder, ½ tsp Salt, 1 Cup Chocolate Chips⠀
Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Combine sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla. In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in dry mixture into wet, mix thoroughly. Bake 18-22 minutes.

Cake Pops

Ingredients: 1 ¾ C Start Right Waffle Mix, 3 Tbs Butter, ⅔ C Milk, 3 Eggs, 1 ½ tsp Vanilla ⠀ ⠀
3-4 Tbs Frosting, 12 oz. Chocolate Chips ⠀
Mix ingredients in a bowl, spread in a 9" pan, and bake for 20 min. Remove from oven to cool. Cut cake into pieces and mix until crumbly. Add frosting 1 Tbsp at a time until mixture is smooth. Form cake mixture into balls and refrigerate. Melt chocolate chips. Place cake balls on a stick, dip in chocolate, and refrigerate 10 min.

Banana Bread

Ingredients:
1 ⅓ Cups Mashed Bananas, ⅔ Cup Sugar, ¾ Cup Milk, 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil, ½ tsp Vanilla, 3 Eggs, 2 ⅔ Cups Start Right Mix, 2 Tbsp Cinnamon, 1 ½ Cups Nuts Chopped (optional)⠀
Directions:
Heat Oven to 350. Grease Loaf Pan. Mix bananas, sugar, milk, oil and eggs. Add remaining ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour into Bread Pan. Bake 50-60 Minutes.⠀

Streusel Cake

Ingredients:⠀
Topping: ⅓ Cup Start Right Mix, ½ Cup Brown Sugar, ¾ tsp Cinnamon, ¼ Cup Butter⠀
Cake: 1 ¾ Cup Start Right Mix, 3 Tbsp Sugar, ⅔ Cup Milk, 1 ½ tsp Vanilla, 3 Eggs⠀
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Spray 9” pan. Mix streusel topping in a bowl until crumbly. In a separate bowl, mix cake ingredients. Spread in pan. Sprinkle with topping. Bake 25-30 Minutes. 

Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients: ¾ Cup Water (105-115*), 1 ½ tsp Active Dry Yeast, 2 Tbsp Olive Oil, 1 Cup Start Right Mix, 1 ½ Cups Flour, 1 tsp Salt⠀
Directions: Combine water and yeast. Let bloom for 5 minutes. Sift flour and salt into bowl. Add yeast, water, and oil. Knead by hand until smooth.Place in lightly greased bowl, cover and place in a warm area. Let rise to double in size. Roll out dough, add your favorite breakfast ingredients, and bake at 450 for 10-15 minutes.

Skillet Bread

Ingredients: 4 Cups Start Right Waffle Mix, ½ Cup Corn Meal, 2 Tbsp Shortening, 1 tsp Salt⠀

Directions: Whisk together dry ingredients. Mix in shortening until the mixture looks like cornmeal. Add water until the dough comes together. Knead until smooth and elastic. Divide into 24 equal balls. Cook in a skillet over medium heat until bubbly and golden, flip. Cook another 4-6 minutes until golden brown.

Chicken & Waffles

Breading Ingredients: 1 Cup Start Right Mix, 3 Tbsp Salt, 2 Tbsp Onion Mix, 2 Tbsp Cumin, 1 Tbsp Pepper, 1 Tbsp Cornstarch⠀
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and place in a shallow dish. Dredge chicken strips in breading and shake off excess. Place breaded chicken strips on a baking pan and cook in oven at 350F for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve between two Start Right Waffles⠀

Scones

Ingredients: ½ Cup Softened Butter, 1 Cup Brown Sugar, 1 Tsp Vanilla, 1 Egg, 2 Cups Start Right Mix, 1 Cup Chocolate Chips⠀
Directions:
Preheat Oven to 350. Mix butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat egg and vanilla together. Add mix, stir in chips. Portion and place 2” apart on a cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes.⠀

Apple Pie

Crust: 1 ½ Cup Start Right Mix, ¼ Tsp Salt, ½ Cup Butter, 3 Tbs Hot Water⠀Filling: 2 Apples Peeled, Cored & Diced, 2 tsp Cinnamon, ½ Cup Brown Sugar, 4 Tbs Butter, 1 tsp Vanilla Topping: ¼ Cup Start Right Mix, ¾ Cup Oats, ½ Cup Brown Sugar, and 3 Tbsp Butter
Directions: Heat oven to 375. Mix waffle mix, salt, and butter until crumbly. Add water, stir vigorously until dough forms. Press evenly in pie pan. Cook filling until tender, pour over crust. Mix and add topping and bake 20-25 minutes.
